Beckman Legacy Development

Who does this Program Serve: This Program aims to serve High School Juniors and Seniors in the local Orange Country area.

Purpose and Outcome: The purpose(s) of the Beckman Legacy Program are:

  1. To help educate our local community about Dr. Beckman and his scientific innovations
  2. Expose high school students to mentor-based instruction
  3. Provide an opportunity for high school students to experience a STEM based project
  4. Provide funding for students to obtain higher education

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a High School Junior in college-prep lab science class enrolled at an Orange County High School at time of submittal 
  2. Cumulative GPA of 3.5
  3. Parental Consent
  4. Commitment of a Mentor (high school science teacher)
  5. Plans to attend a non-profit, four year US Institution
